Mary M. Kahwajy-Baron, MS Ed, MA, LPC

Mary is a licensed professional counselor who has a baccalaureate degree in nursing from East Tennessee State University, a Master of Science in Education specializing in community health education from VA Tech University, and a Master of Arts in Counseling from Eastern Mennonite University. Mary's counseling approach incorporates the theories of Attachment, Affirmation, and CBT. She has worked with children, adolescents, parents and families since 2004 in the counseling field. Areas of specialty include working with children, adolescents, families and parents in foster care and adoptive situations. She also specializes working with children and adolescents who are diagnosed with ADHD, ODD, anxiety, depression, adjustment disorders, emotional dysregulation, self-esteem issues, and trauma. Mary works with parents to better understand and to better meet the developmental, emotional, and psychological needs of their children.
