Nicole Beasley, PhD

Nicole Beasley earned her undergraduate degree in psychology at Stanford University and then went on to earn her Masters and Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the University of California at Berkeley.  She has been in private practice for over 15 years and has worked in a wide range of clinical settings, such as Stanford's Health Services and DVI, a California men's correctional facility.  Nicole strongly believes that clients are essentially well, and that this wellbeing is accessible as the mind quiets.  For that reason, she integrates mindfulness practices into treatment.

Nicole sees adults and couples, and is certified in both Emotionally Focused Couple's Therapy and Imago Relationship Therapy.  In determining if she and a client are a good match for therapy, Nicole considers the relational fit to be of primary importance, rather than diagnosis.  She suggests that clients consider the first few sessions as a period of evaluation in which she and the client are listening carefully to see if she is the best person for the job.  If you would like to know more about her, please visit her website.
