Adam Williams, MS, LPC, NCC
Adam is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), dedicated to working with children, adolescents, and families, since 2003. He obtained his master's degree in Science in College and Community Counseling from Longwood University. He is a National Certified Counselor and member of the Association for Play Therapy. Adam has provided a range of community-based services for children, including working at Child Savers, in Richmond, as well as a Community Services Board outside of Roanoke.
Using a child-centered approach, Adam offers a wide range of therapy modalities, with special focus on tailoring treatment to each individual family's needs and desired outcome. Creative expression is a focus of most sessions. Adam has helped children and adolescents who are struggling with a wide range of symptoms including: ADHD, learning disabilities, developmental difficulties, autism spectrum challenges, depression, anxiety, or substance use issues. Many of Adam's clients have been struggling with adjusting to a life change, such as grief/loss, or a change in family dynamics.
